Founded in 2015, EAST Architecture Studio is a collective practice committed to architectural design and experimental research. The firm’s systematic design approach questions a wide range of cultural, urban, ecological and material knowledge that stimulate the significance and creativity of a project. We seek design solutions that optimize the use of sustainable energies, natural resources and human comfort to yield high performance buildings and urban environments. We aim at delivering a product that is polyvalent and inventive, while contextual. We believe that architecture has a social, economic and historical responsibility that we use as a trigger for innovation. We are committed to be constantly aware of upcoming changes and challenges in an ever evolving environment, and to synthesize the information around us in its most essential components.

Our team engages in the production of projects at various scales, from concept design to execution and construction supervision, thus heavily relying on three dimensional modeling. We believe that digital tools have pulled architecture into an uncharted territory of opportunity, ranging from simulation, construction, rendering and parametric performance and our work embraces these instruments to offer bespoke solutions and analysis to each project. Most importantly it structures the coordination process between us and our various consultants – from structural to environmental engineers and cost consultants – in order to deliver a high quality product challenged by increasingly strenuous budgets and schedules. Lastly, we see the Client as the most valuable team member and our collaboration is an essential part of our design process.
