EAST Architecture Studio is a collective practice working across housing, cultural buildings, exhibitions, master planning, and research.

Under the banner of preservation as practice, the studio engages with both contemporary society and traditional culture, integrating the past into the shaping of the present and future, creating spaces that carry continuity as well as possibility.

From the adaptive reuse of urban buildings to international exhibition pavilions, the studio’s work operates across a variety of contexts and temporalities, advancing an architecture that endures, rich in meaning and presence.

Their collective design approach suggests an interpretive, tactile engagement with artisanal techniques and innovative design solutions. The studio's methodology reflects a collaborative spirit, with artists, engineers and environmental experts enriching architectural narratives through symbolic and material layers.

EAST Architecture Studio was awarded the prestigious Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2022, becoming one of the youngest practices to earn this globally celebrated honor. Two years later, the studio won the AlMusalla Prize for the design of a space for prayer and contemplation that was unveiled to the public in January 2025 on the site of the Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The studio's work is a testament to a visionary approach and a nuanced interpretation of history and culture, most notably in projects like the acclaimed Niemeyer Guest House Renovation in Tripoli, Lebanon. Their built and research projects have received international recognition, exhibited at prestigious venues such as the 17th and 19th Architecture Biennale in Venice and widely featured in leading publications like Wallpaper Magazine, The Architectural Review, Architectural Record and Domus.
