Charles Kettaneh

Charles studied architecture at the American University of Beirut and Pratt Institute, New York, where he graduated with honors and received both the Outstanding Merit Award and the Thesis Award. He later pursued executive studies at INSEAD. His career began at international design firms across the US including Perkins Eastman and RSVP Studio, before returning to Lebanon to work at Raed Abillama Architects for several years. His work has been exhibited and published at Pratt Institute and in InProcess Magazine.

Nicolas Fayad

Nicolas began his architectural studies at the American University of Beirut before completing a Master in Architecture, with distinction, at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Art & Design category. His design and research projects have been showcased at RIBA North and the Boston Society of Architects, among other international venues. In 2021, Nicolas was a visiting critic at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning and currently serves as Professor of Practice in Architecture at his alma mater in Beirut. Together Charles and Nicolas have written and spoken extensively about the present state of architecture. Inheriting the architecture of the twentieth century, their book ‘Beyond Ruins: Reimagining Modernism’ was published by ArchiTangle in late 2024.
