Charles Kettaneh
Charles studied architecture at the American University of Beirut and the Pratt Institute, New York, going on to work at international design firms across the US including RSVP Studio and Perkins Eastman. He then returned to Lebanon where he worked at Raed Abillama Architects for several years before co-founding East Architecture Studio. His work has been exhibited and published at the Pratt Institute and in InProcess Magazine.
Nicolas Fayad
Nicolas began his architectural studies at the American University of Beirut, completing them at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he was awarded a Masters in Architecture, with distinction. He made the Forbes 30 Under 30 List upon graduating in the Art & Design Category. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and published in Wallpaper Magazine and the New York Review of Architecture. Nicolas has lectured at MIT’s School of Architecture and Planning and is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Architecture at his alma mater in Beirut. Together Charles and Nicolas have written and spoken extensively about the present state of architecture and city design. Inheriting the architecture of the twentieth century, their book ‘Beyond Ruins: Reimagining Modernism’ will be published by ArchiTangle in late 2024.
